Local history

Cottage Island locally know as Beezie's Island was the last inhabited island on the Lough. 

Church Island is the largest Island on Lough Gill, its ecclesiastical ruins, a 6th century chirstian chruch belonged to the O’Rourkes, chieftains of Breffni .
