Immerse yourself in the serene beauty of Leitrim with a day of basket making and Canadian Canoeing, designed to get you active and engaged with the traditional and natural splendors of our region.

Begin your morning with expert basket maker Helena, who will guide you through the art of weaving your own basket. Feel the sanctification of crafting with your hands as you learn this timeless skill in a picturesque outdoor setting, overlooking The River Bonet.

Midday take a delightful break with a locally sourced brunch, savoring the fresh flavors of Leitrim while enjoying the peaceful riverside ambiance.

After brunch, You will embark on a guided canoe trip along The River Bonet in Canadian canoes. As you paddle down the river you'll be surrounded by the natural beauty of the area, with opportunities to spot local wildlife and and learn about the rich history of the region from your guides Grainne and Branden.

When we reach the mouth of the Bonet, we will have a chance to step out and take in the stunning views of Lough Gill and its surroundings. After enjoying the scenic break, we will paddle back up the river, embracing the serenity and wonder of the natural landscape that surrounds us.

This journey promises a peaceful escape and a chance to reconnect with the beauty of the outdoors.

No experience necessary applies to basket making and canoeing. All essential materials are supplied for both activities.
